FAR Levy Payers

(Owner and consequent seller/user of arable crop grown in New Zealand from which the Commodity Levy (Arable Crops) Order 2000 is deducted.) Where the levy has been deducted, owners of the crop are entitled to receive FAR information for those years when crop is sold.

FAR has been established to utilise levies collected from growers on grain and seed sales for research and information transfer to benefit levy paying growers.

The information FAR sends to growers and subscribers includes newsletters, Arable Updates (research results), Arable Extras (background agronomic information), notices regarding seminars, field days, etc. and other occasional information. All this, plus additional information can be found in the Member area of the FAR website which will also be made accessible to all FAR levy payers. All FAR material is copyrighted, thus ensuring it is only available to those who contribute to the costs of research and/or information distribution.

Any individual levy-paying grower who requires extra copies of the information sent by FAR in excess of what they currently receive will be charged a fee of $135.00 inc GST per calendar year (Jan to Dec) for electronic copies or $270.00 inc. GST per calendar year (Jan to Dec) for hard copy material.

Industry Subscribers

The information is available on an annual subscription basis to those not paying levies or who want extra copies. The subscription year is a calendar one (Jan to Dec), and subscriptions are automatically renewed the following year unless we are advised otherwise by the end of January.

These subscriptions are for individuals within a company and are not available company-wide, therefore if more than one subscription is required in any one company, a further application(s) must be made.

There are several types of subscription available:

  1. e-subscription ($135.00 per annum inc. GST) (this entitles you to receive all FAR notices and technical updates in electronic format, plus access to the members' area of the FAR website)
  2. hard copy subscription ($270.00 per annum inc. GST) (this entitles you to receive all FAR notices and technical updates in hard copy format, plus access to the members' area of the FAR website).
  3. newsletter subscription ($50.00 per annum inc. GST) This entitles you to receive the FAR quarterly newsletter in hard copy format

FAR folders and tab dividers can be purchased for $30.00 each inc GST.

Discounts:

  • A 5% discount is available for 5 or more subscriptions per company when these are ordered together and processed on a single invoice.
  • A 10% discount is available for 10 or more subscriptions per company when these are ordered together and processed on a single invoice.

FAR regularly reviews its costings based on the amount of information being provided. These costs are effective from 2006 until further notice.
